Ramble Ramble. Blah Blah.

I really suck at the whole "update-your-life-in-a-blog" thing and usually no one cares about each other's blogs anyways. Really...who wants to read  a bunch of complaints on how much someone's life sucks? So I'll try to make this the opposite, I have no real reasons to complain anyways.

This (like everything that I write) should only be read voluntarily and will most likely not make much sense outside of my head.

I've noticed that I say "FML" a lot. Like..at least 10 times a day.
But I really don't mean it ever.

Earlier this week I was being pissy because I sprained my wrist and did god knows what to my foot now I can't run and had to cancel a photo shoot yesterday. Today I realized I have no reason to be even slightly upset about this. My foot is messed up because I decided to run 7 or 8 miles... Most of the people I've talked to found this to be a bit of a distance which didn't even occur to me at the time. Really, its probably abnormal to WANT to run that far. So complaining about not being able to is kind of like Spiderman complaining about not having powers...it was weird in the first place (not saying I'm even half as cool as him :p).

On a larger scale, there are billions of people in the world. The universe spans on forever. Do you really think any of this misses a beat when you sleep through your exams? It's pretty selfish to think that your problems are the end of the world.. Every time you complain because you had to wait too long in line at Subway, some kid in India just died of starvation. I'm sure he would tell you how much of a train wreck your day is..

Point being: however many problems you think you have, your life is probably so much more amazing than you realize. So stop worrying about things and enjoy life :)

...I'm a hippie. I swear I'm not stoned right now. That is all.

Words Amongst Sketches in the Margins

While going through my notes attempting to find anything useful for my take home exam I noticed some interesting quotes/scribbles/random things.....sooo I decided to put them here :) Hahaha, this will probably be totally boring but whatever, you're the one reading it not me.

This is what my notes look like (well, the interesting parts that is):

"We have defeated the enemy in the Cold War and the winner is...JAPAN!"

"I'd do to you like you'd do to me if you knew you'd get away fine"
-Brand New

Film and Politics: Jan 7th
*half a blank page
...that is all.

"We all live in a yellow submarine.."

<--This is actually important

"Political power flows out the barrel of the gun"

(repeated like 5 times so far) "Under capitalism man exploits man. Under communism it's just the reverse"

NOTE TO SELF:
Do not take notes in this class.

"I was quite convinced that Lyndon Johnson wanted to kill me- which he did."
-My Frn Policy professor

BIG BROTHER IS WATCHING!

Presidents need advising because it's 'Bolivia' not 'Brazil'....

"You can crush the idealist but you cannot crush their ideals"

...you lost me at "so, last week we talked about.."

"Who values life the least? Those who risk their lives or those who take them?"

LOVE
is all you need.

(...to be continued whenever I decide to try to read my notes again)

My Top 12 Played Songs on iTunes (and my theories on why)

I took out duplicates of the same artist, so its just the first song on the list by them...

And here’s the final countdown (do do do do, do do do do do....):

12.“White Tooth Man”--Iron and Wine
Theory: Whenever I listen to Iron and Wine I generally put it on shuffle.  Clearly this is the one that just happened to pop up the most often. To be honest, this isn’t my favorite song by them but it appears to be my computer’s favorite...

11. “Sic Transit Gloria...Glory Fades”--Brand New
Theory: I kept replaying this song over and over when I was learning it on bass. And it’s just an amazing song anyways.

10.  “C’est La Vie”--B*Witched
Theory: Louisa and I were so amazed by the dirtiness of the lyrics and the fact that it was played on Disney channel that we kept listening to it. And making other people listen to it. And by the time we had done that enough it was so stuck in our heads we couldn’t stop listening to it..

9.  “Uh-Huh”--Munchausen By Proxy (Zooey Deschanel & Von Iva)
Theory: This song is awesome, I’m sure I’ve had it on repeat once. Or the Soundtrack it’s from on repeat. Something like that.

8. “Why Don’t We Do It In The Road?”--Dana Fuchs
Theory: Because Across the Universe is amazing. As are the Beatles. And Dana Fuchs. I listen to this soundtrack constantly, this just happens to be the most played song from it.

7. “Don’t Go Away”--Buckcherry”
Theory: I’m actually not sure why this song is played so often. Maybe because I just saw them in concert and had it stuck in my head after?? Oh well. Good song I guess. Haha.

6. “Bo ‘Fo ‘Sho”--Bo Burnham
Theory: When I first got this, I listened to it on repeat. Enough said.

5. “Butterfly”--Jason Mraz
Theory: Jason Mraz is awesome and catchy.

4. “On The Way Down”--Ryan Cabrera
Theory: I didn’t expect this one to be so far up on the list.... That’s slightly embarrassing. Okay, not really. Not at all. :)

3. “Wore Me Down”--Rachael Yamagata
Theory: This is one of 293289832 Rachael Yamagata songs on my top played list. I love love love LOVE her music. Because she is amazing and this song is pretty much the epitome of her amazing-ness. Along with like 10 other songs....

2. “Dear God”--Avenged Sevenfold
Theory: I heard it in concert and loved it. They’ve actually succeeded in combining country and rock... And I think I was trying to learn it on guitar for a bit so I had it on repeat.

1.“Jizz In My Pants”--The Lonely Island

Theory: I’ve listened to this so many times because a) its catch b) its funny and c) it constantly comes up in conversation. I just wrote this list and I jizzed in my pants. Yesss.
